I wanted to start this week with a quick reminder that all of our graphics, videos and other resources are free for you to use. All of ‘em.
We’ve got a bunch of cool resources about the refining, petrochemical and midstream industries in the EMPOWER resource library and on our social media channels, especially Instagram and YouTube.
And if you look through our resources and don’t see what you’re looking for? Shoot me an email and we’ll look into making it!
Happy Monday!

What we’re reading this week
The outdated renewable fuel standard is draining America’s refining capacity - Washington Examiner
American energy producers can drill and produce crude oil at record-setting rates without fueling a single car, truck, plane, or military vehicle because crude oil is merely raw material until refined. America will only be able to truly achieve energy dominance when we stop unnecessarily burdening domestic refiners with broken regulations and unnecessarily high costs.
Keeping business rolling: Policy wins and rail challenges ahead - Chemline
In this episode, host Eric R. Byer is joined by industry leaders from the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) to discuss the impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill on chemical distribution and the broader industry. They explore the legislation’s immediate benefits for member companies, how key tax provisions could support growth, investment, and competitiveness, and how the bill reflects long-standing industry priorities for balancing safety and expansion.
